Hi there! Thank you for visiting my blog. It has been a super part time hobby of mine over the past couple of years. A little bit about myself… I completed a MS in Applied Clinical Nutrition from New York Chiropractic College in August of 2015. I immediately moved from Allentown Pennsylvania to Washington DC to complete a 1000 hour supervised nutrition internship through Maryland University of Integrative Health.
I passed the CNS (Certified Nutrition Specialist) exam through the BCNS (Board for Certification of Nutrition Specialist) in November of 2015, and achieved CNS certification in May of 2016 after completing the required 1000 hour internship.
In my personal life, I am an introvert who enjoys yoga, BBC television, reading, learning, painting, and being married to my best friend Kyle. We enjoy eating together, going for long walks, and discovering new shows on Netflix. He is an avid runner and keeps me feeling motivated about exercising.
I became interested in health and nutrition when I was pursuing a graduate degree in Counseling Psychology and was amazed at how diet and exercise were never talked about as being related to mental health. I started researching on my own and it soon because my first love and I switched schools and started over to pursue my new passion.
